The Mail Center is where students, faculty and staff send and receive letters and packages. Located on the first floor of the Frame-Westerberg Commons the Mail Center has stamps, stamped envelopes, and padded envelopes for sale. Lamination services are available. We can send USPS, UPS and FedEx packages. We are a FedEx and UPS drop-off location and can process your package if it already has the required label on it. We cannot process packages with just a QR code.

USPS deliveries arrive in the morning around 10 am and UPS/FedEx/Amazon hub deliveries arrive around noon Monday through Friday. When a carrier brings us packages we must enter them in our system. As they get checked-in students are notified they have a package via email.

Content

The Mail Center only accepts packages from the Post Office (USPS), UPS, FedEx, Amazon Hub.

The Mail Center and Information Desk will NOT accept your deliveries from DoorDash, GrubHub, or Walmart delivery drivers.  You must arrange with the driver to meet them and pick up your items.  If a driver comes with your order to the Mail Center or Information Desk we will tell the driver that they need to contact you and make arrangements to have you meet them.  They may choose not to wait for you and take your items back with them.  Please plan to be sure you are available before ordering. Parents please keep this in mind if you are ordering something to be delivered to your son or daughter. If it is not being shipped by UPS, USPS, FedEx, or Amazon the Mail Center will not accept it.

Only current residential students at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford are able to receive items at the Mail Center. Students living off-campus should arrange to have their mail and packages delivered to their off-campus address.

Content

We no longer utilize the mailboxes at the Mail Center. All students (first-year students to seniors) will pick up their mail and packages at the Mail Center window after they receive an email from the Mail Center stating they have mail/packages.

We are transitioning from our old mailbox system to a modern indoor locker system with a kiosk. We are hoping this will be completed by Spring 2025.

How mail will work until the installation is complete:

  • No mailboxes will be assigned and student mailboxes will no longer be used
  • Mailing addresses for students:

    First and Last Name
    300 Campus Drive
    Bradford PA 16701
  • Students will receive an automatic email for all packages AND mail that arrives.
  • After a student receives an email they should come to the Mail Center window with Student ID and claim their mail/packages.

Lockers of various sizes will be installed where the mailboxes currently are, as well as a kiosk station.

Packages and letter mail will be placed into the appropriate sized lockers and the students will get an email saying they have mail. The email will also contain a barcode.

The student will scan the barcode at the kiosk and the corresponding locker will pop open so they can retrieve their items. If all lockers are full, students will come to the Mail Center window to retrieve packages/mail.

The Mail Center is notified it has been opened and is emptied, so it can be used again.

If you have a pre-paid label we cannot tape the box or affix the label onto the box for you. These must be done on your own. Tape can be purchased across the hall in The Panther Shop or another retailer. If you are paying to ship a package at the mail center we will tape it for you.

Depending on the courier we will try to forward packages and first-class letters to your home address within 30 days. After 30 days they will be returned to sender. Please update your address accordingly to prevent delays.

  1. Check your junk email.
  2. If your email has a "Focused" tab and an "Other" tab:
    1. Use these directions to change your Outlook Web app so your email is all in one folder:
      1. From the Outlook Toolbar at the top of your email, select "View".
      2. Click on "Show Focused Inbox." You can toggle this feature so you should see either "Focused/Other" or "All/Unread" folders. If you see "All/Unread," then you should see Mail Center emails in your "All" folder.
    2. Use these directions if you are using the Outlook mobile app:
      1. Select the menu button at the top of your screen, to the left of the label "Inbox."
      2. In the bottom left corner, select the gear icon to go the Settings.
      3. Under "Mail," you should see a toggle switch for "Focused Inbox." Turn that off.
  3. Add pittbradford.mailcenter@pitt.edu to your safe senders list.
  4. If you still do not get the emails after trying the above solutions, visit CTM at Duke 269 and they can fix it for you.
