Computer information systems and technology major
Koby Bradley was inspired by what he discovered while studying this summer in Tanzania.
“Everyone was friendly. The community in Africa is strong, where neighbors are treated like family.”
Bradley, a computer information systems and technology major from Warren, studied at MS TCDC, a college in Arusha whose mission is to empower citizens to create social change socially, economically and politically.
During his stay in East Africa, he learned more about the culture of the Tanzanian people by visiting a Maasi village, museums, churches and the first-ever mosque in the country. He also learned some basics of Swahili – greetings and a few nouns and verbs.
He’s grateful to have had the study-abroad experience and also appreciates being part of the Pitt-Bradford community.
“The community, professors and students are great. I have accomplished feats I never would have done before in my school life,” including joining a fraternity and clubs and studying abroad.
