Zhongbei “Daisy” Wu will play a free noon concert on the guzheng, or Chinese zither, on Thursday, Feb. 29, at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
The concert, which will be presented by Pitt-Bradford Arts, will take place in the Studio Theater of Blaisdell Hall.
Wu is an award-winning artist whose musical performances fuse the guzheng’s ancient Eastern roots with Western and modern music. Wu will also talk throughout the performance about the history of the instrument.
With an impressive soloist career, Wu has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the United Nations Headquarters and the National Press Club as well as on China National Television.
