Short Bio

Before coming to Pitt-Bradford, Dr. Jensen taught Spanish and Comparative Literature at Penn State. He conducted his dissertation research while living for two years in Madrid, Spain; he enjoys other travel as well in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. In addition to a near-native level of Spanish, he is also conversant in German. Dr. Jensen is also an experienced meditator and has lead meditation workshops at Pitt-Bradford and the Olean Meditation Center in Olean, New York. 

Academic Focus

Dr. Jensen teaches a variety literature courses (Hispanic, English, and comparative) in addition to Spanish. His work has centered on avant-garde and experimental poetry in Spain throughout the twentieth century. Recent projects include work on the role of pedagogy in Spanish literature as well as translations of María Zambrano and Juan Eduardo Cirlot.
