Short Bio
Dr. Mulcahy earned her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she studied flower visiting ants and their interaction with alpine cushion plants. She also has a bachelor of arts in biology from The College of Wooster, OH, where she did research on the ecology of pollen tube growth in an herbaceous plant species. Mulcahy specializes in plant biology with focus on evolutionary plant ecology, bryophyte ecology, and pollination.
Prior to joining Pitt-Bradford's faculty, Mulcahy served as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Kentucky in the Center for Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior.

Academic Focus
Dr. Mulcahy currently teaches Introduction to Biodiversity, Evolution, and Field Botany. She welcomes collaboration with students on undergraduate research projects involving plants.
