Short Bio
Marie Andracki has built a robust career in the hospitality industry, which began when she was just 16 years old. During her tenure, she has held various positions including sous chef, production manager, assistant food service director, chef manager, and director of dining.
She served as the Director of Residential Dining at Georgetown University for 5 years. She managed a two-story dining facility that featured seven different concepts on the first level and 6 different concepts on the second level, including a certified allergen-free station that excluded the top eight allergens. She collaborated closely with the campus dietician to address meal plan accommodations and expand dining options for students with specific dietary needs. Additionally, Marie was instrumental in ensuring food safety across campus.
Marie played a significant role in maintaining the gardens outside the dining hall, guiding the students who managed the campus gardens.
Marie is also committed to supporting local economies. She has worked extensively with local vendors to create a farm-to-fork experience, ensuring the freshest products possible for dining services while promoting sustainable practices. This approach not only enhances the quality of food served but also supports local farmers and producers.
Marie also worked with the university to address food insecurities on campus by stocking the pantry and fridge for students in need. Under her leadership, dining scores improved significantly, and her team won first place in regional trophies for service in 2022. Her career also includes impactful roles at Catholic University and Johns Hopkins University, among others.
