Short Bio
Ben is a native of Emporium, PA. After graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Air Force and Served 5 years as an Aircraft mechanic on the F-16 airframe. After returning to Emporium in 2004, he attended Pitt-Bradford obtaining an ASN and a BSN degree. He obtained an MSN in 2016 from Drexel University.
He has worked in the field of nursing as a critical care and emergency room Staff Nurse, a Nurse Manager, Public Health Nurse, Organizational Development and Professional Affairs Director, Clinical Operations Officer for a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers, and a Substitute School Nurse. Currently in addition to teaching full time for the University, Ben is a Clinical Preceptor for Graduate Nurses as they make the transition from the academic setting to clinical practice.
